voters tend to be older, they love to vote on election day. all of a sudden these numbers i'm surprised and i frankly thought i would not have been surprised to see it reversed and see it obama, 52, romney, 45. so this is a shocking number. but it fits something that you may have seen late last week. gallup took all of this september questions, 19,000 people pretty big universe. looking at all of them together as one group. and said the surprise is that this electorate looks more republican but as republicans are much, much more likely to vote, democrats less likely to vote. they said this is closer to the to 10 electorate than 2008. that is based on huge samples. if that is accurate, then virtually every poll we've seen is wrong, probably favors obama by three or four points more than he's going to get. all polls, poll sisters went in. they jiggered numbers to get back to a sample they believed was accurate. gallup arguing that that is wrong. that we're seeing a shift towards an electorate much more republican than four years ago. >> i think of gallup sort of a little bit, i don't know

. governor chris christie says it will be eight days at the very least before that power is restored. president obama is coming to new jersey tomorrow to see the devastation firsthand with governor christie along with fema representatives and you know, right now, we can see pictures. we see the pictures of the iconic boardwalk. ripped up and the wood strewn across the streets. we see the downtowns of these communities inundated with sand and ocean water. and of course, we see those shots of the ferris wheel actually on these piers partially submerged in the water. it really is an appear okay apocalyptic scene on the jersey shore. obviously the cost in terms of damage in the billions and that's what fema and the president, of course, will be looking to lend a hand with tomorrow. >> jennifer: t.j., has everybody on the ground been accounted for? >> reporter: well, all i can tell you is that you know, those searches continue. many of the firefighters and the police, their own headquarters, many of them flooded. were f

and baby sit you, and the idea some people think government's going to provide their day care, their health care, their dental care, their housing. government overpromises and underdelivers. they bankrupted social security and medicare, and i would bet obama care goes bankrupt over time. >> so a couple of things. remember governor romney is called governor for a reason. he was governor of massachusetts. he knows something about how the federal and state relationship works. there's nobody in washington who could look at this program with a straight face and say there couldn't be improvements made to it. let's see how we can get people -- get money to the people faster. in fact, president obama himself said that today. he instructed the federal government no red tape, no bureaucracy, so i think that that is a little bit preposterous to hang that on mitt romney. one of the first things he did, romney, was to say send out an e-mail to people who had donated to his campaign saying we don't need your resources at this moment. give to the red cross or check on your neighbors in need if you can. if

missions have been going on all day long. president obama will travel to new jersey tomorrow to view the damage along with governor chris christie. a governor who surprised many people today when he called the president, and i quote, outstanding and incredibly supportive. words he wouldn't have used at the height of election battle last week. governor christie joins me from the state emergency command center. governor, thank you for joining me. i watched these extraordinary scenes over new jersey today. really quiteunprecedented. have you ever seen anything like this in your lifetime? >> no, i haven't. in fact, today i toured the jersey coastline in my helicopter and i landed in two spots on the jersey shore. i can tell you that i have never seen devastation like this in my life. not here in new jersey. you see sights like the seaside heights boardwalk, where the program "the jersey shore" is filmed, the boardwalk is gone. it is gone. amusement rides, a roller coaster, a flume, in the ocean. it's incredible. homes destroyed. it's an awful thing. >> new jersey people are known for the
